The last days of Summer and during Autumn are my favorite time to spend some days with my family in our farm at the mountains ( Star Saw – Portugal ): not cold, sometimes rain ( and i love it ) but usually sunny.
I just love to see the first season fruits grow …… like apples and pears ! Almost of them are not sweet enough, but hide in the garden i found a little apple tree with such juicy fruits.
…. And a family meal is the perfect excuse to turn the oven and make an healthy and delicious dessert : This apples, the sweet pears and a mix of cinammon with tumeric will make everyone happy .
Cinammon and Tumeric are two amazing and special spices, they are termogenic, controls sugar levels, anti inflammatory and a powerful anti oxidant….. amazing right?
I used this one – the tumeric with vanilla flavor is outstanding 😉
Recipe of the Crumble
- 6 – 8 shopped pears and apples cooked in boiled water
- 6 tablespoons of oat flakes
- 4 tablespoons of coconut sugar
- 1 cup of shopped walnuts
- 1 teaspoon of cinammon
- 1 teaspoon of tumeric
- 4 tablespoons of butter
Put the cooked fruits in a casserole. Mix all the crumble ingredients with your hands add more butter or oats until you get the perfect dogh.
Add this mix to the fruits and take to the oven 15 m – 180 degrees.
To my bowl i add more cinnamon and walnuts…… hummmm very yummy
Nothing elaborate, but healthy and perfect…. like Autumn makes me feel .
